My name is Janet Kamenick and I live in Indian Trail, North Carolina with my husband and four children.  I have been an ISR instructor for 20 years. I became a Master Instructor in the spring of 2013. I hold a B.A. in Early Childhood/Elementary Education and French from Juniata College and an M.A. Ed. in Reading Specialization from Virginia Tech. All 4 of my children have been skilled through ISR and continue to love the water!

I continue to educate our community about drowning prevention, such that our most precious members will be better protected against this preventable tragedy.

September 2010, our family headed to the lake for the week to celebrate my husband Jesse's birthday. One afternoon, my husband and 2 year old little girl were playing on the dock, just fishing and hanging out. In the Blink of an Eye.

Our daughter Jenna is 3 years old and has taken lessons since she was 1. The ISR course and her instructor Janet was the best decision we could have made. It taught her to not be afraid of the water and built her confidence in swimming and floating.
